About the Anxiety and Panic Disorder Center of Los Angeles
The Anxiety and Panic Disorder Center of Los Angeles was founded by John Tsilimparis, MFT, a licensed psychotherapist in the state of California. He is a clinical member of the ADAA, The Anxiety Disorders Association of America and a clinical member of CAMFT, The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. John also works as a staff therapist in the Department of Addiction Medicine at a major Los Angeles hospital.
John Tsilimparis,
MFT was featured on KPCC Radio, 89.3 (NPR) Health Dialogue with
Larry Mantle in Los Angeles, speaking about anxiety, panic disorder
and agoraphobia. He also appeared on KRLS 870 AM, speaking about
panic disorder as well. He presents workshops on the subject and
occasionally teaches a class on managing anxiety. John also teaches
Psychology classes at Pepperdine University and Antioch University.
He was inspired to treat individuals with anxiety and panic disorder and establish The Anxiety and Panic Disorder Center of Los Angeles, because he is also a panic disorder sufferer since the age of eight. "It was not until I was in my mid 20s that I was actually diagnosed with the disorder. Not knowing what was truly wrong left me feeling broken and uncertain about my future. I experienced many years of fear, angst and self-loathing because nobody had any answers for me. I began to think I was going mad."
The Centers mission has been to offer safe, compassionate treatment to those suffering from anxiety and panic disorder without the stigma that only weak or unstable people are affected.
The Anxiety and Panic Disorder Center of Los Angeles is conveniently located just off the Sunset Blvd exit on the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles at:
